Broadway
Two hours before a Broadway play is not the time to get lost and stuck in traffic. Well I did. Memorial day weekend is horribly crowded in the City. People flooding the streets and me attempting to drive in the swarms of people dancing and screaming. After the car was parked. The clock reminded me that the play would be ending in 30 minutes. The man at the theater gate was very nice and told me I could come back anytime to see it with the now expired tickets....after seeing the desperation on my face as I thought about the 5 hour drive to get from my house to fabulous Broadway.....he told me I could sneak in the back and catch the grand finale. It was amazing. Afterwards I went to an Italian restaurant for a glass or three of wine. I took my photos with three Navy sailors from France (they reminded me of Davy) and then cruised to a piano bar a couple of blocks down. I had the best time singing along with the very talented piano man that night.....and watching an old man drinking alone with his "tonic and gin" he even sang a Billy Joel song to me.....(without a request!) somehow I drove the LIE home without a problem....although i cannot figure out how.
