" Originally I had intended on just taking some snapshots around Hicksville and a couple of the high school... I was lost in a neighborhood close to my destination point....and stopped to ask for directions from a local guy painting his house.....one thing leads into another and it turns out that his wife grew up next door to Billy.Once I showed them my painting and explained what I was doing....they were much obliged to send me to various landmarks worth checking out......
I stopped in for a beer at the Village Green (although filled with trepidation due to the screaming coming from about 12 boisterous drunken men) After my first drink and exchanging words.....they grew on me.
I met a man whom i will never forget....from Salvador.....trying to make it in long island...he bought me a shot told me his story and let me take his photo. He reminded me of Anthony's song. "
